My wife of 20 years is Type 1 diabetic and we, coworkers, neighbors and strangers have had to contend with everything in this article. I knew nothing about it in the beginning. Diabetes was just an impersonal term. My examples come from personal experience.
Most articles offer advice to the diabetic.
This one is for everyone else... …
People around me have talked about their diets for years, but nothing ever changes. Why?
Diets don’t work
Because they attack the wrong…
People, i.e. strangers, frequently comment on how they love watching us dancing together. Odd since I don’t know how to dance. One lady even gave us a red rose.
That is today. It started years ago.
During our vacation in Cancun, Mexico, the waiter told us that we were not like most couples. All of the staff had noticed. We asked what he meant. …
My proposal could change the entire debate, culture and infrastructure of the United States.
Insanity is doing the same thing over and over, and expecting different results!
Corollary: attacking half of a problem and expecting a full solution. …
Trump’s impeachment is critically important for the nation and the rest of the world. If he gets away with his antics and the attempted overthrow of the Constitution, the world will see that the United States is not based on its own laws. The President, and any future president, can flout them without consequences.
If the President ignores the law, why can’t others?
First the question: why was it a coup attempt?
The mob was chanting “Kill Pelosi” and “Hang Pence.” Had they succeeded and Mitch McConnell been killed too, there would be no elected official remaining in the Presidential Succession. …
I’ve been getting all kinds of strange comments to my posts on Facebook and my responses in our local news outlet about Wednesday’s coup attempt. Everything from comparing the riot to Black Lives Matter riots to infiltration of the mob by agitators from Antifa.

These are irrelevant distractions and are in no way connected to the riot itself. They must be blocked during the impeachment debate. …

Brainwashed definition # 2: persuasion by propaganda or salesmanship (www.merriam-webster.com)
Insanity. n. mental illness of such a severe nature that a person cannot distinguish fantasy from reality… (www.psychologytoday.com)
I had long suspected the fantasy trait, but the election made it very clear. After more than 60 legal challenges and recounts of recounts, the President was still telling everybody that he had won! …
The residents of The Villages, a large retirement community in Florida, love their dogs. They dance with the dogs, take them to restaurants, have special golf cart and bicycle seats for them, push them in baby strollers. There are even stores devoted to dog clothes. Most dogs are extremely friendly.
Except for my neighbor’s large dog, Rudy
He must have been trained as an attack or guard dog, barking and lunging at anybody in sight. That dog is strong, and big enough to look you in the eye while standing on his hind legs.
Most Florida homes in our area have a lanai, an enclosed back porch. If I step out of my lanai, and he is in his lanai, he goes nuts barking at me. If he is in his screened garage and somebody walks by, he does the same thing. …
