A very moving speech and I agree with the underlying idea, in theory. Implementation is always the hard part. Nobody has done it well.

Question: Do you, yourself, put your money where your mouth is? Do you have locks on the door of your house or do you let anyone who wants to come in and sleep on your couch?

If you have locks, you behave no differently, just on a smaller scale.

Since you brought it up, the entire vote difference in the last election was one state, California. The Electoral College worked as intended and designed.
