First, the impeachment was a farce. The Dems waisted it on trivia. See my article,

Second, the new President is sworn in on January 20. The date was moved to January 20 with the passage of the Twentieth Amendment in 1933. The new Congress starts on January 3rd.

The Electoral College meeting is the real important date which is Monday after the second Wednesday in December of presidential election years, December 20 this year.

He doesn’t have to do anything until then, although by custom the transition work starts earlier. At that point, what does he do about the transition? Will he consent to it? Will be interesting to watch.

Everything is hype until then. My concern now is top people being replaced at this late date in his term.
