Great story. I didn't know line dancing followed ballroom steps. My wife and I of 19 years have no formal steps - just close together and far apart holding hands. When close, we sort-of rotate in a circle to the music. When far, we move our feet to the music and don't get close enough to step on each other. People come up to us and ask how long we have been dating, say how much they enjoy watching us dance, etc. I don't know what we are doing. We just hold hands, smile at each other, and move with the music.
