I built my first relational database in 1969 and my second project followed every one of the 12 agile points.
I took a team member to meet with the department head. Nobody did that at the time. When the dept. head asked for a change, I said “It’s his part of the project” and had him answer. We were working with cards.
Three years later, I added filters to the new accounting system — using cards.
You are correct. Methods are secondary.
