I fully agree that we need a sensible law. “Sensible” may be in the eye of the beholder, though. I have not researched other countries to see if they have done any better.
The Supreme court supposedly did that with Roe-v-Wade, but it seems to be fuzzy to many. Some want more, some less, and the middle part left too much room for interpretation.
As for sanctity of life, (1) I think that humanity just does not know enough, and (2) it’s not applied consistently throughout all human activities.
It is pretty solid between birth and a terminal illness or death. It is before and after that is not clear.
Thanks for the talking points. Just getting the discussion off of the lock-horn stage may provoke another new approach.
