I had already lost 4 pounds when I noticed and determined what was happening.
ALL of our meals are planned at standard times. Our meals were normal — nothing changed. My pattern was: Breakfast, snack, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, snack. Why was I losing weight? That’s an indicator for many health problems. So, I counted calories for a couple of days.
I was 300 calories per day under my normal daily average! I was not drinking a glass of wine while dancing on the town square nightly and was not going out to restaurants twice a week. That was the difference in the weekly average.
I am now adding ice cream to my lunch and increased my portion size for breakfast by 20%. By the way, my snack is one chocolate-coated raisin.
Good luck. I used to eat mindlessly, too.
