I never wanted to be a manager. It would have interfered too much with everything I was doing. For example,

#1. Time and productivity are not necessarily related. I was chastised on my review because I “did not spend enough time at my desk. I set a poor example.” My manager agreed that I twice as productive as anybody else, but that didn’t count.
