I‘ve only been retired for 3 years, but never heard of a coding interview. Interesting.
The receptionist asked, “How did you get a programming job at age 65?”
Well, the first 12 people failed the coding test. I took half the allotted time and pointed out that there were at least 3 solutions for each problem. I used the brute-force ones since we weren’t keeping any code.
I worked there for 5 years.
By the way, the top of my resume stated, “I solve problems.” Many times the stated problem is not the real problem, just a pre-defined solution you are asking to be expanded.
