I was reprimanded on my review for showing lack of respect.
- I contradicted my boss in a meeting with our largest client. He was promising access to the computers that contained the Navy’s missile test data. The manager across from me had his face in his hands. I suggested a simple alternative.
- He said that he preached and nobody arrived on time. I said, “Well, if I arrive before you do, I am on time.”
I was too good at my job, so he couldn’t fire me.
