I wondered where this was going. Here is what I did a few years ago:

The band had played about an hour when 2 guys stopped me, and said, "We've been watching you. You have danced with nearly every woman here. How do you do it?"

I said, "The women along the wall watching the men are here to be picked up. The women near the dance floor watching the dancers are here to dance. I ask them."
