If a person can choose what words are racist, or sexist, or anything else offensive, then every word in the dictionary is racist.

If a word follows the dictionary definition and is accurately used, then if someone is offended it is on them and their problem. It does not depend on slang or interpretation by the listener.

If a word follows the dictionary definition but is NOT ACCURATELY applied, then it is on the speaker when someone is offended.

If a word does NOT FOLLOW the dictionary definition, then it is on the speaker when someone is offended

Trying to change a word to some slang meaning introduces chaos, especially in historical documents, movies and songs.
