I’ve never tried to write like someone else since I am like a cat. They do what they want.
I joined a writers club, 27 book authors and me, to learn to write better. For me, that means clearer. I have a tendency to imply things and assume that they are just as obvious to everyone else. Now, I am a little more direct.
This morning, one member asked about my submission for the meeting, “Do you think about these things at night?” I was reading my follow-up to my abortion article to the group.
I replied, “No, I do them while sleeping and write them down when I wake up.”
I haven’t reviewed their written comments yet. The verbal comments were already helpful, highlight spots that could be clearer or written better. I’m grateful to have someone see it before publishing.
