Peru has public clinics for health care and private HMO’s.

The public clinics have long lines, but care is available at symbolic price, or free if you can’t even pay that.

We bought into the HMO for $300 per year. They still have co-pays. You have the choice to agree to each one as needed.

We had to pass an abdominal ultrasound screening for cancer before we were accepted.

The US should be able to at least provide the equivalent of public clinics to catch up to Peru.
