Someone asked me, “How did you get a job at age 65” … as a software developer?

The first 12 people could not pass the test. I told them that there were at least 3 solutions to each question. Also, and probably most important, they did not ask about my prior salary.

I was out for surgery a couple of years later. When I got back, one senior editor sent me this message: “I didn’t know how spoiled I was until you were out.” You do need to keep up with technology and current business practices.
