Starting at age 33, I never worked hard again. I had fun, instead, and companies paid me to do it.

I refused to work overtime, except in an emergency. If I had to work overtime, usually somebody screwed up.

One manager chastised me in my annual review for not spending time at my desk. I pointed out that my productivity was double everybody else’s. She said that I was not setting a good example.

Being a cat, I ignored her.

You have to be good at your job to get away with it.
