The first time I was fired, I intentionally set up the situation since I could not quit. The VP said that I wasn’t keeping up with everyone else and should get out of computer programming.
Even though I wanted out of that company, that statement still hurt.
Since then, I successfully developed over 100 apps without a single failure, gave speeches at 7 conventions, published 8 technical articles, wrote and presented numerous computer classes, and trained dozens of new computer programmers.
Don’t let someone else’s opinion define you.
