The person posting the tweet is either ignorant (never worked in a minimum wage job) or stupid. Ignorance can be fixed.

I have worked at minimum wage jobs at times in my adult life.

As for raising the minimum wage, that is a smoke-and-mirrors trick to make people feel good, but has little impact.

Wages go up. The additional costs are passed along in higher prices. The same number of hours work buys the same goods. It takes the same number of minimum-wage hours work to buy 10 gallons of gasoline now as it did in 1970. Same with a McDonald’s meal. Also, some Federal and state laws have fixed limits, and those people are suddenly deemed high-income.

Unfortunately, I do not have an answer on how to change the cause/effect scenario.

Anyway, people should not make such a tweet that confirms they are either ignorant or stupid.
