Me: You know how they pick it? A plow flips those heads on top of the ground and a fork-thing picks it up. They take them to a plant, wash them, and send them to the store.
Me: You ever get lettuce with brown streaks? The head was underground too long.

I left for another office.

The next day, she said: “LETTUCE DOES NOT GROW UNDERGROUND.” She told everybody in the office she just learned that. Finally, someone told her how it really grows (That was before Google).
