This is a great to-do list before retirement day.

We did all of that. The most important: no debt, daily living expenses from fixed incomes, and relocation.

We wound up in The Villages, Fl where we go Dancing on the Square to Live Concerts — Every Day to free, live concerts.

I have my own spreadsheet. I enter all balances in January, deduct escrow amounts for health care and other emergencies, and it tells me how much we can spend on travel and other discretionary activities for the year. It readjusts itself every January and is timed for 40 years.

I keep a running total, adding the annual amount in January, and deducting overspending of the monthly living expenses throughout the year.

The biggest challenge is to figure out what to do when every day is Saturday. We go to restaurants no more than twice a week just to keep it as a treat.
