When the lottery started in Illinois, a man mortgaged his house for $60,000 and bought 60,000 tickets to win one million dollars.

He didn’t realize that he had 60,000 chances to win and 3,000,000 chances to lose. He won a few thousand dollars, but had that big mortgage (438,000 in today’s dollars).

I was 34 when I finally figured out what work I wanted to do. I developed software and never had a project fail.

I pushed my trainees to be more than THEY thought that they could be.
