You are absolutely correct. Thinness is not the key to happiness.

In reading your articles, it may require some kind of life balance, based on my experience. My wife is Type 1 diabetic. She can eat anything, but not in any quantity, as described in my first article on Medium. I lost 40 pounds and kept it off for 31 years. I can eat anything, but not in any quantity. Thinness doesn’t make me happy, feeling good does.

In the past, I looked for anything that made me feel happy, tried to repeat them, and ignored all other happiness goals and advice. I took a job that hit my goal after college and it was the worst job in my career, at least for me.

Good luck. Things will work out.
