You just described me as using a niche and I didn’t even know it. My first 10 articles and 7 conference speeches were accepted. I am now branching into other areas and it is not quite so easy. My boss once said “what is obvious to you is usually not obvious to anybody else”. My job is to write clearly enough for others to see it, too. Also, “article spinner” — I learned a new term.
