You’ve done the most important thing first by listing what is important to you. If you don’t know what is important, how do you expect to find it.
It took me two tries to figure that out.
My wife’s ad on Match.com said “Intelligence is important.” Mine said, “Bugs Bunny is my hero.”
Mine also said:
> I am not looking for a maid, cook, laundress,
> dishwasher or sex object. I’m looking for a partner
> and companion who would be comfortable going to a
> lecture at Rice, a musical, movie, concert, sporting
> event, or just staying home and reading a book or
> cuddling in front of the TV.
The first clue: We understood each other’s jokes. Most people don’t.
We have been married for 18 years. I still have our first 23 email messages and the image of her ad.
We have both done things that we never dreamed of. She went to NFL football games (had never seen football live or on TV) and I got a passport.
Our current favorite activity: Dancing on the Square to Live Concerts — Every Day.
Good luck and don’t settle for less than a great match.
